Leave

Leave policies, balances and approvals in one place

Define leave types and policies, let employees request leave, route approval to the line manager, and keep an append-only ledger so a balance can always be explained. Approved leave flows to payroll as inputs.

The leave overview: requests waiting, people away today, balances

The problems it removes

  • Balances in a spreadsheet nobody trusts
  • Policies that change without a record
  • Approvals by message
  • Leave that has to be re-keyed into payroll
Leave requests waiting for a manager or HR

Requests wait with the right person

The line manager first, HR where the policy asks for it, with the balance shown beside every request.

Leave balances by person and type for 2026

Balances with the ledger behind them

Earned month by month under the policy, with every opening, adjustment and day taken on record.

How it works

1

Set the policy

Leave types, accrual and rules by version, with the country’s defaults as a starting point you can adjust.

2

Request and approve

Employees request from their portal; the line manager decides; the request keeps its history.

3

Keep the ledger

Every accrual, use and adjustment is an entry in an append-only ledger, so any balance can be traced.

4

Close the year

Carry-forward is applied by rule at year end, and the close is recorded.

5

Post to payroll

Approved unpaid or part-paid leave reaches payroll as inputs for the right month, so leave and pay agree.

What you get

  • Versioned policies with rules per leave type
  • An append-only ledger behind every balance
  • Team calendar and balances for managers
  • A year-end close with a record of what was carried forward

Questions

Does it include Pakistan’s statutory leave?

Pakistan’s defaults are the starting point for a Pakistan workspace. Another country’s leave law would be its own pack, scoped with you.

Can I import current balances?

Yes. Opening balances are imported once and the ledger carries them forward.
