Provident fund & EOBI

Provident fund balances that are derived, never typed

Employee and employer contributions post from payroll, eligibility is applied by rule, and the register is rebuilt from the facts. When someone asks what their balance is, the answer is a calculation you can show.

The provident fund register: every member’s contributions and balance

The problems it removes

  • Balances kept in a spreadsheet that drifts from payroll
  • Eligibility decided from memory: who is enrolled, from when
  • PF loans that nobody can reconcile against the fund
  • A register that cannot be proven to the rupee
One person’s provident fund statement, month by month

One person’s fund, month by month

Opening balance, each month’s contributions and any loan against the fund, on a statement you can hand to the employee or the auditor.

How it works

1

Enrol by rule

Eligibility follows the rule you set, such as starting on confirmation, instead of someone remembering to add a person.

2

Post from payroll

Each run posts the employee and employer shares. Nothing is typed into a balance.

3

Read the register

Opening balance plus every contribution, less loan principal. Rebuild the register from payroll at any time and it reproduces to the rupee.

4

Settle at the end

On exit, the fund feeds the final settlement alongside gratuity, leave and loans.

What you get

  • Balances derived from opening figures and posted contributions, never edited by hand
  • A full contribution history per person, and a register with departmental filters
  • Opening balances imported once, then maintained by payroll
  • Statutory EOBI contributions handled alongside the fund as part of Pakistan’s rules

Questions

Can I import existing provident fund balances?

Yes. Opening balances are imported once and every later movement comes from payroll, so the register stays reconcilable.

How do PF loans interact with the fund?

PF loans draw on the same balances. The register shows contributions, loan principal outstanding, and the net payable, so the two never disagree.

Is EOBI included?

Pakistan’s EOBI is part of the statutory rules in the payroll engine. Another country’s scheme would be part of that country’s pack.
