Shifts and overtime

Evidence for the hours. Rules for the pay.

Factories, warehouses and outlets live on shifts, lateness and overtime. The money is in the detail: who was in, how a short day is treated, when overtime starts and who approved it. Attendance in WageVerge shows what happened. It never changes pay by itself, so a person always decides.

Sound familiar?

  • Overtime arrives as a sheet at the last minute.
  • Lateness rules are applied differently by different supervisors.
  • A short day is argued about after payday.
  • Nobody can show who approved the hours.

How WageVerge helps

Machine exports, previewed

Upload the office attendance machine’s export, see what will be added, then confirm. Files that overlap never count a tap twice, and an import can be undone.

Attendance →

Work patterns per team

Fixed and flexible patterns with grace and minimums. A person’s own pattern wins over their department’s, so the same rule applies to everyone on it.

Attendance →

Exceptions in front of people

Late, left early, short day and no-tap views, with employee explanations and reviewer decisions kept on record.

Attendance →

Overtime as an approved input

Overtime is entered for the period it belongs to, priced when it is entered, and approved before it reaches the run.

Payroll & income tax →

Questions

How does attendance get in?

WageVerge reads the export file from your office attendance machine, which you upload and preview before anything is saved. Another machine or file layout can be added; tell us what you use.

Does attendance change anyone’s pay automatically?

No. Attendance shows what happened and nothing in it changes pay. Overtime and deductions are entered as inputs that a person approves.

Is overtime repriced if a salary changes later?

No. An overtime input keeps the amount it had when it was entered, so a later salary revision does not silently change it.
