Cost to company (CTC)

The total annual cost of employing a person: their pay plus employer contributions, benefits and other costs.

Cost to company is the employer’s view of what a person costs. It starts with gross pay and adds what the company pays on top, such as its share of fund contributions and any benefits it funds.

CTC is not what the employee takes home. When quoting an offer, say clearly whether a figure is CTC, gross or net, because the three differ.
