Payslip

The statement given to an employee for each pay period, showing what they earned, what was deducted and what they received.

A payslip is the employee’s record of one pay period. It lists earnings, deductions and net pay, usually with the period, the employee’s details and the employer’s name.

It is also the first place a mistake is noticed. A payslip that explains each line, including how tax was reached, prevents most of the questions that would otherwise reach payroll.
